In March of this year, KPMG were appointed as administrators of Aperture Trading Limited, who acquired K2 Conservatories Ltd, in April 2012. Manufacture of K2 conservatory roof parts ceased soon after, and since existing stock has been almost entirely depleted. Without the availability of replacement parts, homeowners with K2 conservatories have a great challenge to maintain a gutter system, which was always problematic at best.
When the problems are severe or numerous, the only option may be to replace the whole guttering system. We have carried out such work on behalf of our own customers, and have produced a guide that describes how to replace K2 guttering with Marshall Tufflex Universal Plus, an ogee system, which has a scalloped front like K2 gutter, with a higher flowrate and is more watertight.
Within the guide, we demonstrate how Marshall Tufflex (RWKFB2) face-fit brackets can be fitted to align the replacement gutter in the correct place to work effectively under the K2 roof. Photography in the guide illustrates fitting of the bracket to K2’s low pitch eaves beam; the principle is the same for fitting to the standard eaves beams. We also introduce the common components, to help you choose the parts you need.
The guide to Replacing K2 Conservatory Guttering is linked in the image above as a PDF download, and Marshall Tufflex Universal Plus gutter parts, can be found within the website of our sister company, Truly PVC Limited.
